Arlington Printing Company Uses New Printer Technology; Speeds Up Printing Jobs

A Virginia printing company uses a machine that offers a pad printer and a laser printer all in one.  This new machine is capable of printing one motif while simultaneously engraving a new one by means of a diode-pumped laser.  Simply change the motif with the press of a button and the silicone pad is cleaned by an ink residue pick-up system.

Another new printing system out on the market today is a decorating system that uses a “multi-print” technique that integrates up to five pad-printing or hot stamping modules into a multi-color decorating system.  This machine boosts close tolerance color recognition and individual print-head control.  It has a cycle rate of 2000 per hour.

For something new and unique there is also a new dry-offset printing system which recently hit the printing industry.  This C-42 from Apex Machine is a fully automatic system for making synthetic wine corks at a rate of 120 corks per minute.  It consists of a vibrating feeder, a penetrating section, a four-color print station, UV Dryer and siliconizing station.

An Arlington printing company also utilizes the use of a new dry-offset cup printer that can accommodate eight or nine colors.  It has a low maintenance color head drive and synchronize servo drives for the printing section and mandrel turret.  Cup size changes can be made within 30 minutes, so downtime is not a problem and speeds are up to 600 parts per minute.

Another new dry-offset printer, the Accuprint Machine has been designed to print on cups, pails of 3 to 7 inches and cosmetic tubes.  Printing high is approximately 8 inches in diameter depending on the type of container with speeds of up to 700 parts per minute.
